Sabrina Skinny Pants Sew-a-Long

In March 2016, Cole hosted a multi-day sew-a-long for her Sabrina Skinny Pants pattern. Each day covered a different step of the sewing process, from cutting and preparation through to finishing details. Readers followed along at their own pace, leaving comments and sharing progress along the way.

The sew-a-long format gave participants a supportive, community-driven way to tackle a garment project. Cole encouraged everyone to ask questions in the comments, and many readers shared photos of their finished Sabrina Skinny Pants.

How Sew-a-Longs Worked

Each sew-a-long was structured as a series of blog posts released over consecutive days. Cole broke the pattern into manageable steps so sewists of varying experience levels could keep up. The posts included detailed written instructions, tips, and encouragement to pause and ask questions before moving on.

Participants were invited to leave comments at each stage — sharing fabric choices, fit adjustments, and finished garments. This created a lively comment-section community around each event.
